The AI assistant

The assistant answers questions from your facility’s own data: batches, lots, inventory, tasks, sales.

Connecting a provider

An administrator connects the provider in Settings, AI: Anthropic or OpenAI, with your own API key, and chooses the model. The key is stored for the workspace and is never sent back to the settings screen once saved.

What it can see

The assistant is bound by the same access rules as the screens. Each role has a set of capabilities (batch data, inventory data, sales data, and so on). A question that would need data the person asking cannot see is refused before it reaches the model.

Reports and exports

  • Reports the assistant generates are kept in the workspace and can be downloaded later.
  • Conversations can be exported as plain text, one thread or every thread in a date range, so you can review what the assistant was told about the facility.
